We spoke with Luxury PR Specialist Kate Bucceri about how she lives a tasteful lifestyle, her wardrobe must haves, advice, career, and balancing motherhood.
Q: Wardrobe essentials?
A: A 90s style suit – so you can mix up all the time with other looks, good quality white t-shirt and thoughtful jewellery.
Q: What are your best daily practices? Are there certain habits that help you set up your day?
A: I am so out of routine since becoming a mum but I ideally I would start the day early with a coffee in bed and some movement before my son wakes up – whether it’s a light walk to the beach or some stretching. I also try and drink 1.5L of water before 9am and try to get a dose of sun each day.
Q: How do you manage motherhood and your career, what is your best advice?
A: The best advice would be to ask for help and don’t feel like you have to do everything by yourself. I don’t have family in NSW so its really challenging but I lean on other people such as my nanny, friends and colleagues to help where they can. I am also very lucky my husband is supportive and picks up a lot when I am busy. It’s never easy – nothing ever flows perfectly but you just have to take one week at a time and do the best you can!
Q: What has been a career highlight for you?
A: I don’t think there has been one defining moment but instead for me it’s the people I work with. They have become family and are the reason I love going to work every day.
Q: You get to travel for work, where is your favourite place to visit and why?
A: Always NYC – nothing beats the energy and pace there. I also love the street style and people watching!
Q: What is your best advice to young women wanting to pursue a career in luxury communications? How do you break into the industry?
A: I recommend work experience and networking as much as you can – in person / on social media. Relationships are everything in communications. And of course hard work!
